On Friday afternoon we lost our dear husband, dad, grandad, friend, teacher, and mentor. He had a peaceful passing, surrounded by family, love, light, and harp music.
Thank you for your support, prayers, thoughts, and love. We will update you on the celebration of Mark's life as we know more details in the next few days.
We love you Mark. We are all better people from having you in our lives.
We are so glad we got to say goodbye. Blessings to you all.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. Everyone I know, who has known him, admired his joyful and generous spirit. I treasure the memories of a colleague, a friend and an entertainer. I smile when I remember his marimba construction and the concert. He truly has made the world a better place.

Mark will be missed by so many. I am so happy that his last moments were spent surrounded by friends and family. I was so moved by the events of last night. You are such a strong family and I am thankful to be a part of it.
ReplyDeleteKathy, your Dad had shared with me about Marks illness just last week. You have been in my thoughts and prayers since. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and, I am sure, your best friend. I will think of you often in the days ahead and will remember to pray for you. Lovingly, your Aunt Susann

So sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I was a high school friend through my brother, Tony Garcia. I kept up with his doings thru him and know that he was a good man. Keep his memories close as the days unfold.
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Angie Garcia-Johnson
The essence of Mark was his goodness. He was a high-school friend, and even though we didn't keep in contact over the years, when I saw him at the few reunions he attended, that goodness shone. He was a man who lived his life according to his conscience and his spirituality, a rare gem in today's world. I know his family is thankful to have been in his life and his light.

Dear Kathy, just now saw your post and we are truly so saddened. We are grateful that we were able to spend Wednesday with you and Mark. Even then he was so positive. Watching the two of you together was a wonderful exchange of love. Mark will be so missed for everything he represented. We are sending our love to you, Micah, Bree, Conor and Mia

ReplyDeleteMark's passing is a loss for everyone. He will be remembered for the sweet, kind, gentle soul that he was. The world was a better place because he was here. Taken to soon and I'm so sad. He was loved.
